Joseph Courtis – Deputy Head of 2D

Joseph is a highly experienced compositor who has worked across a range of high profile feature films, episodic productions and music videos. He is a 2D Supervisor at Milk and the Deputy Head of Milk’s 2D department.
Joseph joined the Milk team in 2021 to work on Working Title/Netflix recent feature The Swimmers. His credits at Milk include upcoming features Kandahar (Thunder Road Films) and Meg 2: The Trench (Gravity Pictures/ Warner Bros.) He is currently 2D Supervisor on NBC’s new episodic, non-fiction series Surviving Earth.
Joseph’s credits span feature films Doctor Strange (Marvel); Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (Universal); The Mandalorian (Disney); Rogue One (Disney); Aladdin (Disney); Transformers The Last Knight (Paramount); 28 Weeks Later and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows (Paramount) and The Northman (New Regency/ Universal) earned across his fifteen year career at a variety of top UK VFX studios including ILM, MPC, Dneg, Framestore and Blue Bolt.
Joseph led the 2D team at Dublin post production studio Screen Scene on Sky’s Moonfleet series for which they were nominated for a VES Award in 2013. He was also part of the BAFTA award winning VFX team at The Mill for Doctor Who. His credits while there also include music video for The Chemical Brothers: Wide Open.
Joseph hails from Berkshire where he can often be found off road cycling with his kids!
