Catherine Called Birdy
A 14 year old girl in medieval England navigates through life and avoiding potential suitors her father has in mind.
Milk created VFX for Lena Dunham’s coming-of-age comedy Catherine Called Birdy (Amazon) which made its debut at Toronto Film Festival 2022.
Supervised by our VFX Supe, Ciaran Crowley, the film provides a feminist lens on medieval England with an adaptation of Karen Cushman’s Newbery Medal–winning novel about a 13-year-old girl who rebels against her father’s attempts to marry her off.
